Overview

Commands are the instructions to perform some kind of task or function for the product/endpoints. Each device/endpoint contains different command values which can be executed for that particular device/endpoint. Commands can be used to send the specific instructions to product/endpoint from the system.

Authorized user are able to select the “Command” tab for any product,  view the command groups and list of commands, and add/edit the value of command.  Authorized user can add commands for the static endpoint (product) and view/edit the value of each command under this product commands section. Product commands are required under product section to view and edit the command value.

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1 – Product Commands

• After selecting a product line, click the “View” button for the desired product from the list
• Select the “Commands” tab to view the list of groups (of commands)
  • Users can view the commands list for a particular group by selecting it from the list
• Each commands list contains the following details:
  

• • Command Name
  • Parameter Name
  • Command Value
    • Users can enter the command value and can click on button with “Device Command” to send the value to product/agent portal
      • The system will notify the user with a success or failure message.
        • If a success message is shown, users can view command’s value from the agent portal and its terminal
          
          

 

Notes

• Product must be active to view the commands of the selected product
• Definitions/Configurations of product commands are common for all the products in a product line.
• In order to send the command value of the product to the Agent portal, user must configure agent portal with that particular product’s device ID, serial number and CUID.
