Endpoint - Commands
Overview
Commands are the instructions to perform some kind of task or function for the endpoints. Each device/endpoint contains different command values which can be executed for that particular device/endpoint. Commands can be used to send the specific instructions to product/endpoint from the system.
Authorized user are able to select the “Command” tab for any endpoint, view the command groups and list of commands, and add/edit the value of command. Authorized user can add commands for the dynamic endpoint (product) and view/edit the value of the commands under the endpoint commands section. Endpoint commands are required under endpoint section to view and edit the command value.
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1 – Endpoint Commands
- After selecting product line, click the “Endpoint” button for any product from the list
- Select the desired endpoint from the endpoint list.
- Select the “Commands” tab to view the list of groups (of commands)
- Users can view the corresponding commands list by clicking on any group
- Each command will contain below details:
- Command Name
- Parameter Name
- Command Value
- Users can enter the command value
- Click the "Device Command" button to send the value to the endpoint/agent portal
- The system will notify the user with a success or failure message
- If the system shows the success message, the user can view the command’s value from the agent portal and its terminal
Notes
- Products must be active to view the commands of the selected endpoint
- Users must configure the agent portal with the selected product’s device ID, serial number and CUID in order to send the command value of the endpoint to the agent portal.
